Average diesel prices decline for third consecutive week

 

The average cost for a gallon of diesel fuel nationwide dropped 2.2 cents on Monday compared to a week previous, according to the Energy Information Administration.

On Monday, June 18, the EIA reported the U.S. average price per gallon of diesel cost 3.244. The price is 75.5 cents higher than a year ago.

Following are the average prices by region as reported by the EIA for Monday:

  • U.S. – $3.244, down 2.2 cents
  • East Coast – $3.240, down a 2.4 cents
  • New England – $3.290, down two-tenths of a cent
  • Central Atlantic – $3.397, down 2.3 cents8
  • Lower Atlantic – $3.121, down 2.7 cents
  • Gulf Coast – $3.016, down 2.1 cents
  • Rocky Mountain – $3.339, down five-tenths of a cent
  • West Coast – $3.753, down 1.6 cents
  • West Coast less California – $3.473, down 1.6 cents
  • California – $3.976, down 1.4 cents
